I really enjoyed this the first time I read all the way through it... and it's been sitting in my tabs since then! FINALLY I can comment.
This is a very well-put-together fic. I love the fact that you describe Chris so well as the cranky, perfectionist writer. The cranky perfectionist writer that is me totally feels the rightness of that. (I'm sure the cranky perfectionist writer that is you would agree. :D )
I also love how Chris is so firmly and openly bi here, WITH girlfriends and still lusting over men, and that Zach knows it, that's a wrinkle I don't get to see often enough I think. And the banter is wonderful!
And it's awesome how the novels are more than just pulp, there are satirical elements and such to them that Chris was brilliant enough to put there and Zach is brilliant enough to pick up on. It just makes them seem all that more perfect for each other.
The last bit with the tequila is SO incredibly hott I'm amazed they didn't fall all over each other right there and then. *fans self*
