So! I'm not fired, even a little bit. In case I never said that. Today, because I'm such a nice fucking person, I went to help set up for the graduate pinning ceremony even though I'm not going to be paid for it. (Like I said. Nice Person). Then my car died because I'm super smart and left my lights on. And my trunk open with the lights on. And my stereo on to blast "Helena" on repeat and super loud just because no one could tell me not to since I'm doing things for them for free. Then I came home and slept all day because I may have caught the death again. So it's been a werid saturday.

So here. Watch some things because they make me happy:

This makes me want to dance. Cobra always makes me want to dance. WHAT IS WITH THE SUDDEN NANANA Obsession, bands? Can we get some Oohs? Maybe a few Ahhs? How about a few lalalas?

Also, I wish Victoria got to sing more instead of always picking up random girls to show up in their songs (like Leighton, even though I adore Leighton). But I have a giant girl crush on Vicky-T so I just want her to do more everything, always.

I like the contrast of BIG then calm then BIG again. It's interesting. I wasn't sure how I was going to like Nate's voice with Brendon's. (Nate as in Nate Ruess. He's the lead singer for fun.). I'm actually kind of into it, though. I just has this fun (ha, pun) little feel to it. There's something about Nate's part that reminds me of a Decemberists song, but I don't know which one. And I'm a little in LOVE with the lyrics. They're interesting, even though they're sort of simple in places. Somehow it makes me melancholy and hopeful, by turns; it's an interesting feeling. It feels a little like the big climax in a movie. I don't know. I just like the song (and it's Panic, so no one is shocked lol)

[warning: this is SUPER LONG under the cuts]

Last night, as anyone who follows me on Twitter is well aware at this point, I was in Lancaster, PA to see Rooney with The Young Veins and Black Gold. By bff Katie (who only recognize Rooney and The Young Veins because I talk about them all the time) went with me and we learned a few things (so count this as the Cliff's Notes version):
1. We hate Pennsylvania...we blame it being above the Mason Dixon Line
2. The people in Lancaster are too into personal space when they're at shows.
3. Black Gold should be a big deal. They're fun/amazing/etc.
4. Ryan Ross seems way more pretentious than I ever realized. (Still cute, but not as much as Jon Walker, though)
5. Rooney's drummer is even more awesome than I already thought he was.
6. If you aren't into the music at a show, I judge you. Harshly. And talk shit. To your face.

Allow me to fangirl out about the show for a minute )

A rant because, really, some people shouldn't be allowed to go to shows )

Now that I've gotten all that out, I'm taking a nap. I'll be back later to answer comments from the past couple days and do the next (aka yesterday's heh) intallment of Attractive Celebrity Idol.
